ELECTRIC MOTOR REWINDING AT HONGAI PORT, VIETNAM

We would like to introduce Baviet Commercial and Shiptechnical Company which is mentioned Haiphong Shiprepair Company. We company is a leading field of Repair, rewinding Electric Motor for all types of Vessels at the Ports and anchorages of Vietnam.

This Electric Motor of High Pressure Cleaning Machine is a project for MV WORLD PRIZE which is a Bulk Carrier that was built in 2021 (1 year ago) and is sailing under the flag of the United Kingdom. It's carrying capacity is 62496 t DWT once She arrived at Hon Gai anchorage of Vietnam on middle December 2022.

What are we proceeded for Electric Motor repair/ rewinding at Hongai Port, Vietnam?

1/ How to transportation/ traveling for Electric Motor at Hon Gai anchorage:

- Arrange boat service comes to the Vessel alongside at Hon Gai anchorage.
- Company’s Engineer come on board to discuss with Ship Officer for the repair plan of Electric Motor.
- Company’s Engineers are visual checking the Motor before landing.
- Prepare lashing ropes and lifting eyes to transfer the Motor from Main Deck to the Boat services.
- Use the Provision Crane to lift down Electric Motor to the Service Boat

2/ What is Overhauling Electric Motor at Work Shop:

- Visual checking Electric Motor.
- Mega Ohm checking/ measuring.
- Dismantling Motor.
- Cleaning all components / Parts of Motor after dismantled.
- Visual checking all parts of Motor after cleaned such as: Rotor surface condition, Rotor shaft journal condition, key and shaft key conditions, DE and NDE bearings condition. Bearing housing and both covers of Motor also checked and measured, sealing, dust sealing conditions, Impeller of Motor also carefully checked…. etc.
- Checking/ Calculating Stator coils and diameter of wire which will be re-winded.
- Use Enamel Wire Ei-EIW (220 ℃) - Made in Korea.
- Stator inside surfaces must be clean and painting before insert new coils.
- Rewinding Stator of Motor as following Shop’ procedure.
- Re-varnish new coils.
- Heating up Stator by special heating equipment which can adjusting temperatures in during heating Stator.

3/ How to Repair/ recondition/ modification Electric Motor at Workshop if found damage:

- Reconditioning rotor Shaft journals (bearing positions).
- Reconditioning bearing housings (DE & NDE bearing housings).
- Recondition shaft key and key.
- Repair heating coil.
- Repair / modification connecting terminal.
- Repair the crack of Motor’s covers.
- Repair motor foundation.

4/ What are Checking/ testing Motor after overhauled at Workshop:

- Mega Ohm (Insulations) to be checked/ measured and make it on the Shop Test Report.
- Surge test.
- Free load test must be arranged at workshop to check Stator Current (Ampere) for each phase.
- Rotation of Motor must be checked.
- Strange noise to be checked.
- Cleaning Motor / cover it for transportation.

5/ What are works on board of the Vessel:

- Mega Ohm (Insulations) has been checked/ measured by Ship Officer.
- Surge test.
- Load test has been arranged after installed to the ship’ equipment by Ship Crew.
- All repair/ rewinding documents has been reviewed/ checked and signed by Chief Engineer.
- Submits all final document of the Motor to the Vessel such as: Work List Report, Photo Report, Shop Test Report.
